Salvatore Monaco

Salvatore Monaco is Co-Head of the Basel office and Head of the Corporate Finance Department. He and his team advise legal entities and individuals in the areas of Mergers & Acquisitions, Transaction Services, Business Valuation, Litigation & Arbitration and Restructuring. After his studies, Salvatore Monaco worked for 9 years as an auditor for a Big4 company (also abroad). Afterwards he held various positions in the financial management of a listed company.

A special industry focus of Salvatore Monaco is logistics and pharma/life science. Furthermore, Salvatore Monaco has profound knowledge in international accounting according to IFRS/US GAAP as well as in financial processes and systems in general, which is why he also specializes in the outsourcing of entire financial functions (e.g. consolidation, reporting, controlling, treasury and CFO as a service). Salvatore Monaco is a certified public accountant and studied economics at the University of Basel. He has been working for BDO since 1.1.2021.
